BWB is Alive in the Midwest!
Burners Without Borders (BWB) now has a Heartland Working Group again! After our first meetup at Ignition, the community voiced wanting to work on
- Bringing leftover clothing swap donations to a charity after Interfuse.
- Organizing a clean-up party around Kansas City, maybe with a DJ 😉
- Creating an internal directory of people and resources for those in need. &
- Possibly a disaster relief preparedness training (at a burn or future Ignitions)
If you want to keep up with the Heartland Working Group Burners Without Borders chapter, please join our Facebook group here and take a look at the posts, or add your own to start conversations or bring attention to other opportunities/groups in need in our community.
Email missconception@midwestburners.org with questions or interest.

Calling for Leads and Co-Leads for Essential Departments!
We’re seeking passionate and organized individuals to lead or co-lead the following departments:
Gate: Be the first point of contact for participants, managing check-ins and ensuring a smooth arrival experience.
Volunteer Recruiter (Online): Oversee the digital side of volunteer management, helping match people with roles and keeping communication running smoothly.
Parking: Keep arrival and parking flowing smoothly! This team ensures vehicles are parked efficiently and that the space stays organized and free of vehicles during the event.
Special Task: Spreadsheets Geek
Are you a Spreadsheet Sorcerer? A Wizard of Worksheets? The Keeper of the Sacred Rows and Columns? We’re looking for someone with an eye for detail, a basic understanding of spreadsheets, and the ability to stare deep into the void of cells without losing their mind. You don’t need to know pivot tables or fancy formulas—just the patience of a saint, the vibe of someone who secretly enjoys alphabetizing things, and the proofreading skills of an English teacher with a grudge.
If you can handle mild tedium and cringe at a misplaced apostrophe, we NEED you. Reach out to Tara at Tara@midwestburners.org!
Art Grants Open until Feb 7!
Interfuse is all about creativity, connection, and community—and that starts with YOU! Art grants help fund the materials and supplies you need to bring your wildest ideas to life. Whether it’s a funky sculpture, interactive installation, or something else entirely, we want to see your vision light up the event.
Have an idea for a new art project that you would love to bring to Interfuse? Let us help fund your project!
Have someone in mind for leadership?

Theme
Forest Folk
Pixies, gnomes, fae, elves, Bigfoot, bears, beavers, spiders, snakes, you name it! If it’s a denizen of the forest, it’s a forest folk! Show us what art you’ve got to share with this year’s theme and we’ll see the forest for the trees!
Hosted at the local art park for the first time. We have a lake onsite, land includes art installations from recycled/reused materials. It rained for 2 of the 3 days but we still got everything burnt. The spirit that was shown by all of our attendees, especially the virgins, was astounding. 10th year of T.E.I.C. was definitely in the top ten of every T.E.I.C. Next year was obviously better.
This year T.E.I.C. hosted 61 people for an intentional community camping event.
59 attendees were adults and 2 under 18yoa.
List of departments and brief descriptions
